how to use this book

This book was written to express solid principles for guiding relationships among Christian communities. The material was modified to make it useful for small group studies. There are several ways that the material could be used by a church.

Of course, an individual can simply read the book devotionally, without any attachment to a group study.

If a small group would like to work through the material together, that would be excellent. Members can each read the chapter during the week before each meeting, so that the discussions will grow out of the reflections of each member.

Some groups prefer not to have required preparation going into a meeting. In that case, the discussion questions can guide the small group study, while the leader uses the chapters as background study to prepare for the meeting.

A whole church can use this material to guide their journey. Optimally, the chapters could be used as a basis for the preached messages, and the questions at the end of each chapter used for small group studies during the week.
